Eco-conservation initiatives at River Residency

Mr Ishwar Parmar, Chairman & Managing Director of the iParmar Group has been a passionate advocate of conserving energy and preserving the environment; so naturally, these have been paramount criteria while planning the entire 34 acre River Residency project as well as the banks of the serene Indrayani River which flows just near the perimeter.
  • Our project is near the River bank, so the Green and Red Flood Lines (which demarcate the maximum distance from the river which could be affected by exceptional floods, and unprecedented, freak floods respectively) have been marked at site before planning the buildings, as per guidelines of the Irrigation Department and have been approved by the Building Permission & Town Planning Department of PCMC.
  • We are developing a one acre Nature Park on the bank of the river. Around the perimeter we will have Green walls with decorative shrubs.
  • We have a Nursery growing over 10,000 saplings, shrubs and other indigenous plants, to foster a green eco-culture throughout the township. We gifted hundreds of these saplings to our customers on Earth Day, the 5th of June. They will nurture them for a year before planting them on site with each plant bearing their name. This is a unique effort to broad base environment awareness.
  • Throughout the project we are using environment friendly Fly Ash Bricks manufactured on site, which reduces fuel consumption for transportation of finished bricks, as well as pollution due to exhaust emissions.
  • We are preserving water by means of rain water harvesting.
  • Our common street lighting in the project will have CFL tubes, which are much more energy efficient than conventional lighting
  • We are providing solar heated water in the toilet of the Master Bedroom in all the flats thereby saving an enormous amount of energy which would otherwise be expended by hot water boilers or geysers.
